Craftsmanship in wood and steel

Hans Swinkels is from a long line of Dutch artists/artisans, who has been able to develop his technical abilities - especially with materials like steel and wood - and turn them into truly creative works of art.

From figurative pieces to more abstract forms, he has begun to amass a committed, loyal and growing coterie of clients.
From avant grade light fittings to idiosyncratic art installations and to purely practical, yet stylish individual pieces of furniture - together they showcase Hans's range and oeuvre.

Much of his most renowned work has come from specific commissions, with clients keen to outline their exact requirements, so that Hans can fashion a unique, bespoke work of art.
These range from purely handmade pieces of furniture that are both attractive and functional to art pieces.

If Hans has a leitmotif it is corten steel and as his repute and renown have begun to spread to clients from across Europe, it is this most identifiable of materials that often characterize his most distinctive work.
